Chapter 071 – Hatred

When he tapped on the answer button, Meng Fu felt as if it burned the tip of his finger.

No sound came from the speaker.

He could almost hear the constrained breaths.

He lowered his hand, allowing the phone to rest on his palm as he continued staring out the window. He had no idea why Gu Ze called him, nor why he didn’t even say a word.

After some thought, he decided that perhaps Gu Ze had given him that phone so that he could monitor him at any moment.

After a long time, the call ended silently. Meng Fu never stopped looking outside the entire time.

The night had fallen deeper than the darkness in his eyes. Gu Ze lay next to him and pulled him into his arms, kissing him on the back. “Meng Fu, why didn’t you say anything?”

“What am I supposed to say?”

“Say…” Say that you like me, Meng Fu. Say you like me… Though he had such a fantasy in his heart, he only answered with a casual, “Anything.”

“I don’t have anything to say.”

Gu Ze, I can say whatever you want me to say, but other than that, I have nothing to say to you.

All of a sudden, Gu Ze bit down on his shoulder as if in a fit of anger.

Meng Fu’s brows furrowed in pain and he struggled for only a little before going motionless.

“Meng Fu, stop thinking about Xie Zhenzhen,” he warned in a threatening voice.

“Yes.”

“Just forget about her completely.”

“…Yes.”

Gu Ze, you know that’s not possible for me, so don’t make me lie or make me forget. If only I were just an emotionless doll…

“Meng Fu.” His arms tightened and his hot chest was pressed up against Meng Fu’s back while his hand moved to the front, feeling all over his body.

Meng Fu groaned, a look of shock emerging in his eyes. He quickly brought his arm out of his blanket to stop Gu Ze’s hand.

“…Mr. Gu…”

There was a sound of pleading in his voice.

“Just say what you want to say.”

He was trying to force Meng Fu to speak in a different way. Anything was fine, as long as he could hear his voice, and not just the usual dead “yes” from him.

“… No… Mr. Gu… Don’t do this…”

Gu Ze was amused. Now you know how to speak? Even you can make such charming sounds.

Sounds that draw me in so deeply.

He pressed his lips lightly to Meng Fu’s fair back.

“Sorry… I’m sorry…” He could not pry Gu Ze’s hand away no matter how he tried, yet shockingly, his body was reacting to his touch. Panicked, his first instinct was to apologize.

“Meng Fu, don’t say you’re sorry.”

He had already grown sick of hearing those words.

“Mr. Gu… Just do it if you want to. I don’t need this.”

It felt disgusting being teased under his hands. It scared him.

However, he still ejaculated under Gu Ze’s ministrations. His pale face was dyed red knowing he had dirtied Gu Ze’s hand. After reining in his rough breaths and trying his best to calm down, he reached over to the tissue box on the table to wipe away the white mess left on Gu Ze’s hand.

“I’m sorry,” he repeated again.

Gu Ze watched him silently, his burning gaze so intense it could almost burn his skin.

“Mr. Gu…” He pondered for a moment and sorted out his words. “This won’t hurt me, so just do it. It would hurt more that way.”

“Do you hate it that much?”

“No, I don’t hate it.”

That was a lie. He hated it, it was true, but he had also gotten smarter. He knew that the more he hated something, the more Gu Ze would want to subject him to it, so he should just say that he did not hate it.

On the contrary, Gu Ze laughed. It was a rare, long-absent laugh filled with warmth. He suddenly pressed Meng Fu down and licked his soft ear with his tongue. “Meng Fu, that surprised me, that you don’t hate it.”

But I’m happy, too.

Something seemed to have changed from what he knew, as if the ground was split apart. One piece was cracked, but the other was in one piece. Meng Fu was growing more and more confused.

It was as if a dense fog was covering his eyes.

Was Gu Ze… happy?

As usual, he woke up at six in the morning and was about to get out of bed when Gu Ze pulled him back in.

Gu Ze slipped his hand underneath his clothes, caressing his skin and locking him in his arms while he placed a light kiss on his neck, winding up until he reached his lips and pushed his tongue inside, moving skillfully.

Meng Fu’s toes curled up.

He let Gu Ze do as he pleased, but his gaze was hollow.

After their lips separated, Gu Ze brushed his bangs away and stroked his shapely brows with his finger. “Your hair is getting long. Let’s go out and have it cut today.”

Gu Ze said they were going out to get his hair cut.

His eyes flickered. “No need, I can just cut it myself with a pair of scissors.”

Gu Ze seemed to be able to read what he was thinking. He pressed a kiss between his brow and cooed, “Nobody cares about the rumors anymore.”

It had been more than 2 months. Most of the news regarding Meng Fu had already been covered up.

“No need. I’m not going out.”

It wasn’t the news that bothered him. He just didn’t want to go out with Gu Ze.

Gu Ze brushed his fingers through his soft hair. “We’ll go and get you a haircut today, then you’ll also be allowed out in the future.”

Meng Fu looked at him in confusion.

“However… you’re not allowed to see Xie Zhenzhen, and you must return here every night,” he added warily.

“All right.”

That was what he answered. On the inside, he was wondering what sort of job he should take on since he was allowed out now, and whether or not he would be able to rent a cheap apartment… Could he still have his own place?

The thought alone was enough to liven him up.

Hope was once again roused in him bit by bit.

Since Gu Ze could offer him such a compromise, would he one day receive his forgiveness? Even more hopes and expectations blossomed within him, and he couldn’t help but smile as a result of it.

Gu Ze was stunned. He leaned over and kissed those lips, but a one-sided kiss was not enough to satisfy him. He moved to Meng Fu’s ear and whispered a command, “Return my kiss, Meng Fu.”

Meng Fu hesitated for a few seconds, but he did as he was told. It was a clumsy and forced kiss, but he returned the favor.

Gu Ze pulled his arms around his neck so he complied, wrapping them around him.

Their bodies intercrossed with each other, just like a pair of lovers would.

The two of them went to a high-class hair salon, and while Meng Fu was getting his hair done, Gu Ze sat nearby, playing on his phone. In fact, he wasn’t really focused on his phone. He couldn’t help himself from looking over, to stare at his side profile, his heart thumping subconsciously.

Gu Ze had never felt this affected by someone before.

One of the staff came by with two cups of coffee, handing one to Gu Ze and leaving another on the table for Meng Fu. She could not help but glance at Meng Fu, sighing, “What a handsome man. He looks just like an actor.”

However, she felt a chill down her back as soon as she commented on his looks. When she turned around and caught Gu Ze glaring at her, she kept her mouth shut.

The haircut was finally over. Meng Fu looked into a mirror to see an unfamiliar version of himself.

The hairstylist commented, “Mr. Meng has a really nicely-shaped face, and your features are just as pretty. You can really pull off any sort of hairstyle. It’s really hard to make my work shine with a face like that.”

Gu Ze stood up as well. “It suits him.”

After the extra bits of messy hair were cut off, Meng Fu’s new haircut framed his face in a way that brought out his features even more.

Just like an actor. It was completely true.

When they were about to leave, Meng Fu asked, “Mr. Gu, this must cost a lot, doesn’t it?” There was no way an ordinary barber could compare with this place.

“You don’t have to care about that.

“I’ll return the money to you.”

Gu Ze’s feet paused. “We can take it slow, Meng Fu. There’s still plenty of time.” So, there’s no need to pay it back in such a hurry, no need to end this relationship so soon.
