Chapter 74 Part 1: Uncle’s Got Swag

Bulacca_native:  F*ck! I think I just witnessed a miracle, is it just me or did the clouds just glow??

Drifterfruits_in_his_hand: I saw it too! A huge golden heart appeared on the clouds over Amethyst Cloud Mountain!

Pingping: Isn’t the Amethyst Cloud Mountain the mountain in our idols’ back yard? Could it be that they’re trying to show ‘love more solid than gold’?

Stuck_on_MetalxWood: I-I-I-I-I don’t live in Bulacca City oh my god I’m gonna cry! I want to see the miracle tooooooo! *throws a tantrum*

Trol1212: Looks like I’ve just discovered something amazing.

Pffthahaha: I’ve acquired a new item: ‘A New Way To PDA’. But I don’t have elemental abilities. I’ll just go cry myself asleep in the bathroom.

Timeless: Forgive me for wasting my life away and my resulting low IQ, are you guys saying that our idols are using their elemental abilities to PDA?

Touching_your_small_hands: @Timeless, it’s true. I was lucky and saw the words that appeared before the heart, ‘Xiao Lingyu loves Lei Jue!’ The hell, they’re so romantic ahhhhh!

Haiyi: I’m not in Bulacca either! I want to move houses! Anyone want to come with!?

Trickster: Is it just me who’s curious about why the heart turned into a heart-shaped lollipop? It doesn’t feel like my idol’s style lmao.

The netizens immediately began placing their bets over who the culprit of that lollipop stick was.

On their side, Lei Jue and Xiao Lingyu were currently in a fluster because of Pipi. The kid was so young, of course they couldn’t give him lollies to eat, but Pipi must have seen someone eat one of them at some point, otherwise he wouldn’t want one so much that he cried as soon as they made the heart-shape disappear. As he cried, rivulets of electricity sparked chaotically around him, released from his body alongside his healing energy. The things around him went from being fried one moment and fine the next, like patients with severe bipolar disorder.

The two younger ones were awake by now too, and joined in on the crying.

With no other choice, the couple rushed over to comfort them first before doing anything else.

Lei Jue went to deal with the easiest one to comfort, his daughter. All he needed to do was give her something to eat. Xiao Lingyu on the other hand had a harder time; the younger brother would stop crying with a bit of food too, but their eldest was straining his neck and wailing loudly. He refused any milk offered to him, and even changing his nappy didn’t work, his tears gushing out unstoppably like a thunderstorm. Xiao Lingyu didn’t need to be a genius to figure out he wanted that ‘lollipop’ in the sky.

Xiao Lingyu felt resigned and carried the little demon lord over to the lake, using his abilities to make a heart-shaped lollipop picture, and then projecting it once again over the clouds. The little demon lord was at last satisfied, pointing at the candy in the sky and babbling in his weird alien language that only he could understand, giving his father a lesson on the ways of the world.

Lei Jue sat on the picnic cloth, one kid sprawled on either side of him. They appeared settled at first glance, but their actions belied that—

Their daughter was providing life energy to the grass flattened by their picnic blanket, making every blade straighten up so much that they lifted the picnic blanket six or so centimetres off the ground. Their younger son, on the other hand, was catching the bugs that had climbed on to the mat before, burning them to a crisp and grinding them into fine black powder with his hands, before drawing on the picnic cloth with them.

Then a little while after that, Xiao Lei came back, running extremely fast with a horde of unknown species of bees chasing after him. Xiao Lei had wanted to get his master to help him after being attacked by the bees, but before Lei Jue could even do anything, Kangkang, who had run out of ink, went wild first. With a loud crack, he fried the swarm into a pile of black ashes. Their little princess, on the other hand, lifted her arm up and healed all of Xiao Lei’s wounds.

Lei Jue could no longer resist complaining about himself, ‘What the hell is the point of your existence anymore?!’

Maybe he should create a series of documentaries. He’ll title them ‘Diary of the Triplets’ Episodes of Crazy’

Xiao Lingyu was a very patient man, and was still ‘gazing into the future’ at the lollipop with his eldest son right now. As if it could no longer bear being stared and pointed at, the cloud with the lollipop on it floated away at last. With it gone, the lollipop disappeared too, and so with a great cry, the little demon lord once again exploded into tears!

It said something that someone usually so unbridled as Xiao Lingyu could not help but think to himself, ‘Well, what can I do? I’m helpless about it too!

Regardless of how awesome I am, even I can’t keep a cloud in place!’

“W-will we go out ever again?” Lei Jue’s shoulders trembled with laughter.

“If we do we’re not taking them, they’ll be the end of us.” Xiao Lingyu almost fell to his knees in despair at the sight of his son, his tiny hand still pointing as hard as he could up at the sky. It was too godd*mn hard being a father! Only those who experienced it would know his pain.

“They can’t even walk right now. When they learn, it’ll be even more fun.” Lei Jue looked at Kaka, who looked like he’d just walked out of a coal mine with all that dust he smeared onto his face. Lei Jue didn’t stop him however; as long as the kid didn’t put it in his mouth and didn’t hurt himself, he left the kids to play as they pleased.

“Who knows when they’ll learn to walk? But from the looks of it, it’ll be soon. I’ll have you know that I took my first steps not even two months after I was born.” Normal children would only take their first steps after the ten-month mark because their legs wouldn’t have developed enough for the strength needed to walk. Kids with highly-ranked physiques, however, would learn to walk a lot faster.

“We’ll need to hire a few more people to follow them around then.” Xiao Lingyu said. “The guards at home definitely won’t even be enough. Dad and Mom used to grumble all the time about how my siblings and I were troublemakers, but the way I see it, Pipi tops all of us combined just on his own.”

“Of course he does. My eldest son is downright overpowered, isn’t that right Pipi?” Lei Jue teased his crying son. “That’s enough now, stop crying, or else your younger siblings will laugh at you.”

Miraculously, his words seem to take effect; Pipi looked as if he knew who his siblings were. He even took a peek at Kangkang and Qiuqiu, his tears drying.

Xiao Lingyu sighed in relief, putting his son down on the picnic cloth. He then pulled Lei Jue over and kissed his cheek.

The perfect bootlicker that she was, Carrera recorded the entire thing. This allowed the addition of many more pictures than usual in Lei Jue’s diary blog post.

When it was time to go down the mountain, Lei Jue put the kids on the aircraft but did not immediately leave. Instead, he took a little spade out of the tool box in the aircraft, and began digging up quite a bit of dirt from Amethyst Cloud Mountain to take home. Strangely enough, although he never said anything, Xiao Lingyu didn’t ask any questions about it, as if he knew what Lei Jue was going to do.

As of now, everyone assumed that after having kids the couple was stuck at home with their lives revolving around their children. Even Party Leader Li and the Vice Party Leader believed this.

Only Di Lin knew that the two were currently plotting something in secret.

The weather on Long Forest Mountain in Lin City was currently so hot that the only time it felt even remotely cool was at night. Right now, everything was silent, the only noises being the occasional cry of insects or the rustling of leaves in the wind.

In a cave on the mountain, a human-shaped tree of roughly forty to fifty centimetres tall shook its branches. Then, like a human, it sat its butt down on the ground, leaning against the wall and putting one ‘leg’ over the other.

It lifted up its tree claw that looked like a human hand and scratched at the leaves on its head. It grabbed a little black bug the size of a grain of rice, but the tree neither threw it away nor killed it. Instead, it carefully played the bug in its ‘pocket’. The ‘pocket’ was made of a layer of bark, and when the bark was lifted there would be a depression, with lots of those little black bugs inside. He put the one in his hand inside and pulled down the layer of bark, and, voila, no one would be able to tell that it was a pocket.

Xiao Lingyu received a message with an image attachment and opened it for lei Jue. “Is it this thing?”

Lei Jue nodded. “Is Uncle still in Lin City?”

Xiao Lingyu checked Di Lin’s location. “Yeah. He caught a lot, so he should be back soon.”

Hearing this, lei Jue walked over to the window, looking at the ten large flower pots he had arranged neatly in a row there. The flower pots were filled with dirt he had brought back from the mountain, with very ordinary ants that he had found in the garden living inside.

He knocked on the pots, and the ants within climbed out as fast as they could, one from each pot. Ten in total.

Lei Jue reached out his hand and the ants climbed onto his palms. In a moment however, they returned back to their pots. Astonishingly, the ants acted like they knew which pot was theirs; they didn’t fight with the other ants, merely going back to the one that belonged to them, despite the fact that they had only been in there for five minutes.

“That ability is just too amazing.” Xiao Lingyu shook his head in amazement, sighing, “It’s completely capable of killing someone without a trace.”

“I used to think that the lesser the animal was, the harder they would be to control; but I’ve now discovered that it may be the opposite of that.” Lei Jue looked at Xiao Lingyu, his smile as bright and stunning as always. “Want to try?”

“Me?” Xiao Lingyu was a bit stunned. “You want to try controlling me?”

“Yeah. It’s just a try, I might not succeed.” It was only a guess of his.

“Fine, you’re the boss.” Xiao Lingyu closed his eyes, standing tall in front of Lei Jue very cooperatively.

Lei Jue placed his hands on Xiao Lingyu’s face, gently stroking his cheeks.

It was clearly a gentle and caring movement, yet Xiao Lingyu suddenly couldn’t resist grinning. “Babe, are you sure you’re not trying to seduce me?”

Lei Jue ignored him and continued stroking. A pale golden light swirled within his palms.

Very soon, Xiao Lingyu felt a very pleasant sensation at the point of contact, and he couldn’t resist wanting to get a little closer, and a little closer again—

And then he lifted up a foot, as if he was going to take a step forward. Before the foot could land however, his eyes abruptly snapped open.
