The carriage had windows that could be closed with shutters made from wood. Currently, they were open, and the ethereal Luo Xiao was seated in front of one of them, looking out, his eyes sparkling with life and wonder.
When they had come, they had taken a teleportation array. It was not the most comfortable way to travel, but it was the fastest, and thus that was the method of transportation used back then.
Now that they were no longer in a hurry, Jiang Yao picked this way of traveling, and he too was enjoying the view – albeit another kind of view.
Since Luo Xiao started looking out the window, Jiang Yao was unable to wrest his attention away from the young man who was glowing like a shining star.
He was like the light in his darkness, the only thing that made him seem more human, and the only person who made him feel happiness.
Many of the guards and members of the caravan were shocked when they saw the handsome Jiang Yao and the beautiful Luo Xiao.
They all had a gene for gossip and began discussing what their identities could be. Their relationship with one another, but Zhou Liqiang quickly shut their mouths, telling them that they should care about their identity, not their relationship.
He knew that their identities were not simple. Not only because of the attack they suffered from back in Mercenary Town, but also because of the fact that Jiang Yao had been capable of taking out that many earth spirit crystals in one go, without even batting an eyelid.
Because of Zhou Liqiang’s intervention, no one dared to discuss the two guests on the caravan openly, but everyone had questions and curiosity on the inside.
Now that Luo Xiao was seated and looking out of the window, many were also observing him, but because he had been observed so much in the academy, he was now somewhat immune to the many gazes sent his way.
Jiang Yao was also ignoring the many gazes. He could feel that the people who were observing were simply curious about Luo Xiao, they held no hostility, nor ulterior motives, so he let them be.
He was so proud of his lover, and he was aware of how beautiful he was, so he did not mind showing him off to others. In fact, he wished to scream to the world, ‘look at this man, he is mine and will be mine forever!’
Luo Xiao was seated in front of the window all day, looking out on the surroundings, and it was not before the caravan stopped for the night, that he came back to his senses.
The entire day he had been in a strange sense of mind. He had seen the world pass by his eyes, but at the same time, he had been in deep thought.
He was reminded of the last time he and Jiang Yao had been traveling together, and he knew that so much had happened between them since then.
Initially, he had been his fake lover, but now they were together for real. He had been pondering on his life as it was before when he was living in the small village, sickly and weak every day.
A tear fell from his eye as he was reminded of his father, but before he had the time actually to register it, he felt his body dragged into a warm and safe embrace.
A pair of warm lips landed on his cheek, kissing it gently, a tongue was gently licking up the tear, before the kisses trailed from the cheek down to the corner of his lips, from the edge of his lips to the lips themselves.
Jiang Yao was immensely tender and affectionate, he was holding Luo Xiao as if he was his greatest treasure, the lips were gently prying open his mouth, and his tongue found Luo Xiao’s which he was trying to hide.
A chase ensued in their mouths. Luo Xiao’s face was flushing red, his arms wrapped around Jiang Yao’s neck, and although he was trying to escape with his tongue, it was more like a response that was driving Jiang Yao insane. He was filled with love towards the young man in his arms.
The kiss lasted until all the air was drawn out of Luo Xiao’s lungs, his lips were tingling and numb, slightly swollen, and his eyes misty.
Although Jiang Yao kissed Luo Xiao reasonably often, it was not so often that the kiss was so deep and so affectionate.
To Luo Xiao, it felt as if he had gotten drunk. His body was soft and mushy, his breath hurried, and his brain dazed.
Looking at him as he huddled into Jiang Yao’s embrace, the demon prince could not help but snicker and feel fulfilled as he wrapped his arms around his waist.
The shutters had not been closed, and a few people had seen their intimate gestures.
Jiang Yao did not mind, but he was not going to tell Luo Xiao about it, as he knew that the younger male would be embarrassed beyond belief. He might even refuse to see anyone ever again.
But to Jiang Yao, it was a good thing. Now, soon, everyone would know that this beautiful young man belonged to him. Even if others were appreciating him, they would only appreciate, never advance.
Jiang Yao was aware of his thoughts being immensely possessive, but he did not mind. When it came to Luo Xiao, he was cunning, petty, and possessive. He had to admit that he truly loved the young one; he was not willing to ever let him go again.
