They looked at each other, all hesitant to talk.

I was confused but I didn’t really care. I grabbed my backpack and left the classroom for the upcoming lecture.

However, a series of strange things happened from then on.

It began when I went downstairs, I bumped into Liang Kaifeng who was climbing up the stairs.

Speaking of him, I definitely had a cursed relationship with him. I still remembered that it started the day I accidentally bumped into him when I was walking downstairs. I didn’t expect that this would happen again.

“Ay, are you blind?!” Liang Kaifeng rubbed the place where I bumped into him and scolded me. However, when he looked up and noticed it was me, he said in surprise, “Ah, Gu Yu? Are you all right?”

Thankfully our relationship had gotten better than before, I didn’t need to worry about us fighting because of that.

While this was what I had in mind… However, I suddenly lost control of my body.

“I’m so sorry, are you hurt anywhere?” I said softly, walking a few steps closer to look at Liang Kaifeng.

Liang Kaifeng looked at me in shock, stuttering, “Yes, yes, I’m fine… Are you okay?”

I gave him a shy but beautiful smile and nodded, replying softly, “Yes, I’m sorry to have worried you.”

Liang Kaifeng gazed at me, stunned. At the same time, his face blushed and he nodded furiously.

“Well then, please excuse me for leaving first.” I bobbed a curtsy to him before leaving the stairwell.

Then, the same thing happened during PE class.

“Gu Yu! Pass the ball!”

Shi Yitong yelled as he kicked the ball towards me. However, for some unknown reason, I stood still and couldn’t control my body.

“Watch out!” People around me shouted. But the soccer ball flew and directly hit my shoulder.

“Gu Yu!” Shi Yitong was startled and rushed over. “Why didn’t you move away? Are you all right?”

He became nervous when he saw I was neither moving or speaking to him. He grabbed my shoulder to force me to face him. “What’s wrong with you? Talk to me!”

Shi Yitong was stunned when he saw my face.

I cried as I turned my head. The pain was so great that my face was tightened and I was uncontrollably weeping.

“It hurts a lot,” I bit my lips and said softly, looking to Shi Yitong for help.

My behavior utterly baffled Shi Yiting. “Wh…what? Where are you hurt? Ay, ay, Gu Yu, why are you passing out? Get up! What’s wrong with you?!”

These things kept happening for the whole day. Before I noticed, every male student’s face turned red the minute they saw me.

“What’s going on?!” After I dragged Shi Yitong out of the classroom, he was reluctant to talk and kept glancing at me with an embarrassed expression.

“How should I know… isn’t it something you should ask yourself?” Shi Yitong gave in and said.

“I don’t know what’s going on at all, that’s why I’m asking you.” I elbowed Shi Yitong. “Ay, why is your face red? Talk to me!”

Shi Yitong scratched his head. “I don’t know either…However, Gu Yu, did you encounter something, err, cursed, recently?”

“Cursed?” I was confused.” No, I don’t think so…”

After a quick thought, Shi Yitong said, “I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but Gu Yu, you really look like… you’re possessed.”

“Po…possessed?” I couldn’t help but raise my voice, which attracted the attention of many people around us. So I hastily lowered my voice and asked, “How come?”

“How should I know?” Shi Yitong was upset. “You should ask Mr. Wen after class.”

Shi Yitong was right, I had no other choice but to ask Wen Jiubo.

I walked alone on the way to the old residence. The sun had disappeared from the horizon, as the light ebbed, so did the warmth of the day. I tightened my down jacket and pushed open the heavy wooden door of the old residence.

“Wen Jiubo!” I took off my jacket while shouting his name. However, I didn’t hear any answer.

Well, it was Wen Jiubo, he was either playing his games or studying some weird objects.

“Wen Jiubo ——” I walked towards the living room while calling for him. When I saw the banner inscribed with ‘You said goodbye before I could introduce myself to you’, I smelled something.

This smell —— chicken stew? No way, Wen Jiubo really made a chicken stew for me?

“You’re back?” Wen Jiubo’s voice came from the room and then I saw him. He wore an apron and had a spoon in his hand, and was gathering his long hair to the back of his head with his hands. After that, he smiled at me.

“So? How does that smell?”

At that moment, I felt as if something inside my heart suddenly broke and the sound echoed before fading away.

Then, I couldn’t control my body anymore. As my knees went weak, I fell straight towards Wen Jiubo.

—— I want to see you.

—— I want to hold you.

—— Finally, I can see you again such after a long, long time.

The spoon in Wen Jiubo’s hand fell on the ground and shattered. I fell into his arms and tightly held him.

Wen Jiubo was startled, but he instantly caught me in his arms by reflex.

“What’s the matter? Why are you so eager to take the initiative today?” Wen Jiubo joked.

I looked up at him and saw my reflection in the pupils of his eyes. I never noticed before that Wen Jiubo had such beautiful eyes. Staring at him like this made me want to…

No! There was an alarm ringing inside my head. This is not me, I cannot do this!

In the last second, I broke loose from his embrace and stepped backward a few steps. Then, I felt like I was in control of my body again.

Wen Jiubo stayed in the same posture. He looked at me, frowning.

“Are you all right, Gu Yu?”

I gripped my hands and then loosed the grip. My body had returned to normal, and the strange feeling was gone.

“What’s wrong?” Wen Jiubo came close to me. He lifted my chin to study my face. “You’re acting weirdly today.”

I was startled by him and moved two steps backward to dodge his touch. I felt like my face was burning. “No…nothing! I’m totally fine.”
