The Second Breakup – Part Thirty-Two, 3 of 3

The police were quick to find him. The reason was simple — when Xue Cheng was struggling, he had shouted that it was Xie Qianchen who had done it. And Kong Huai, after his arrest, also said his name, so the police went to look for him for evidence.

It was the same old policeman from last time. When they found Song Yucheng, however, it was in a nursing home.

“What is it, officers?” Song Yucheng’s smile was impeccable.

The police didn’t know what to say for a moment, because the scene in front of them made their hearts ache.

The young man in Song Yucheng’s arms was in a semi-conscious state. But even so, it was still hard to hide his handsome profile. They knew that face and recognised him as the hottest male actor, Lu Wenyuan, from two years ago.

Even the most hardcore of Lu Wenyuan’s fans would be hard-pressed to recogise him right away now.

The policemen lowered their voices. Song Yucheng smiled gratefully at them and said softly, “My junior is not well, so let’s go out and talk if you want to discuss anything.”

“Okay.” The old policeman went out of the room with him. When Song Yucheng closed the door, the young policeman immediately pressed a question on him. “Something happened to Xue Cheng and Kong Huai, was it you who did it?”

“What?” Song Yuzheng was stunned at first, then laughed. “Isn’t that what they deserve?”

“How could you say that!” The young policeman got a little upset.

But a senior nurse next to them pushed Song Yucheng behind her and said, “What are you talking about? This is a hospital. Are you police officers here to beat people up?”

“We are requesting cooperation, as required by the law. He is now a major suspect!” The young policeman was bubbling with inexperience, and he told them the whole thing.

Then the nurse laughed in exasperation. “No way. You said it was done by remote control, so it’s definitely nothing to do with Qianchen. I think you should talk to our director,” said the nurse. She led the two men away.

In the director’s office, the two policemen felt that the whole world was turned upside down.

Song Yucheng, an elite manager in the film industry, actually had a phobia of the camera. According to the director, Song Yucheng couldn’t face the camera alone.

It was not a fucking joke.

Every detail proved that it was true. The old policeman had all the press conferences that Song Yucheng had attended, and found that at several of them, all the reporters had been forbidden to bring cameras. The directors in the film industry also confirmed that Song Yucheng always waited outside when he sent people over for auditions.

“Besides, you don’t have to doubt him.” The director pulled up the surveillance feed of the room where Song Yucheng was when Kong Huai and Xue Cheng were in the private room. Song Yucheng had been reading to Lu Wenyuan for those three hours.

They couldn’t hear what he was reading, but from Lu Wenyuan’s obedient expression, it was obvious that he was reading a very gentle story.

From beginning to end, he didn’t have any way to contact the outside world.

“Can I ask how Xie Qianchen’s illness came about?”

The director sneered. “You go back and check the police department’s records. Ten years ago, the case related to Xie Qianchen and Cao Kun. It will be clear then. As a law enforcement officer, don’t look to the victim as a suspect every time. If you can’t give him justice, don’t hurt him willfully!”

The two policemen were almost thrown out by the director. But even so, they didn’t feel too angry about it, because they only had sympathy and pity left for Song Yucheng after the read the case files.

The real injustice cannot be blanked out, but it would be difficult to reopen the case, even with today’s technology.

What is the difference between this and slapping them in the face? Most police officers had a strong sense of justice. They were going to vigorously interrogate these four fallen second-generation heirs.

Ding Mingcheng was under investigation again, and he did not fight it this time. He gave a full account of how the four of them used violence on Han Feiran, and how Han Feiran wanted to call the police, but they simply drove him into a corner and caused him to take his own life.

Afterwards, they also found Han Feiran’s destroyed injury report in Xue Cheng’s home. Looking at the assessment written by the forensic medical examiner, anyone with a heart would curse them and call them beasts!

They had obviously not treated people like human beings. No wonder Han Feiran wanted to commit suicide! Anyone else would probably not be able to live either.

The young policeman who was suspicious of Song Yucheng felt that Xue Cheng had it too good when he had been beaten by Kong Huai. He should have broken both his greasy paws before making him a eunuch.

“It’s Xie Qianchen! It must be Xie Qianchen who is causing the trouble! Go investigate! Go!” Up to that point, Kong Huai hadn’t let up on his desire to drag Song Yucheng down. This time, however, he only received a rather personal, emotional, “You deserve it!” from the law enforcement officers before he was taken away.

After Ke Lin and the others were put behind bars, the entire entertainment industry changed. Once people heard that the police were collecting evidence of the crimes committed by these three people, even their own famous artists started to turn against them.

The report came flooding in, and they measured three feet high. Every one of them hammered the nail deeper into their coffins.

And their respective elders, too, did not escape the long arm of the law. Embezzlement alone was enough to take them down!

In the end, it was really the same as what those metaphysics masters had said. This was the reason why many people joked that the metaphysics masters were so powerful now that they could help to fight corruption.

Old Master Qin and the others simply took credit for everything. They also got rid of the stigma of metaphysics.

This event aroused a huge discussion in the public community, and those other people who have had something to gain from it, also gradually converged.

It was a surprisingly win-win situation for everyone.

In the nursing home, in Lu Wenyuan’s hospital room, Song Yucheng put the flowers he’d brought in a vase. The young man on the bed was still unconscious, his eyebrows relaxed, as if he was dreaming of something beautiful. No one would have thought that he could actually go crazy to the point where two grown men couldn’t stop him if he woke up.

“Wait a little longer.” Song Yucheng reached out and touched the side of his thin, pale face. He lowered his head and dropped a kiss on his forehead. “There are two more. When they all confess to their crimes, you’ll wake up, right?”

“Even if you don’t do it for yourself, think about Xie Qianchen.”

Lu Wenyuan did not move, and it was impossible for him to give a response. Song Yucheng sighed, then turned around and walked away.

System: Milord, Lu Wenyuan, he…

“I know.” Song Yucheng cut him off. “You have a way to get him awake and back to normal, right?”

“Yes, but at a price.”

Song Yucheng nodded. “I understand. Let’s wait until we’ve dealt with Cao Kun!”

Song Yucheng got into the car and drove to the Picture Domain.

This was the sixth month since he had crossed over to replace Xie Qianchen, and there wasn’t much time left. He had to pick up the pace. Moreover, after dealing with the six culprits, he was finally able to catch his breath, and the cooperation with Lu Mian could also begin.

Song Yucheng also wanted to let Cao Kun experience the pain of losing everything. It was only in this way that could he pay tribute to the injustice suffered by Xie Qianchen.

Song Yucheng called Lu Mian, and the first thing he said was, “Do you have time to see me tonight?”
